Tim Yeager Stepping Down from Treasurer Position
Posted On: Aug 31, 2012 - Updated On: Jan 06, 2016

On Wednesday, August 29th, the National Executive Board approved a request by Tim Yeager to be relieved of his responsibilities as Financial Secretary-Treasurer, a position Tim has filled since 2001. In a letter to the membership, Brother Tim explained that he was recently asked by his bishop to take responsibility for a small, inner city church on the west side of Chicago and that continuing to perform the additional duties of Financial Secretary-Treasurer did not leave him with enough time and energy to properly serve the church. (See attached for full text of letter) In order to facilitate the transition to a new Financial Secretary-Treasurer, Tim will remain in his current position until mid-October. After that, Brother Tim will continue to serve in his position as Midwest Regional Organizer. The NEB will meet on Tuesday, September 18th to select a new Financial Secretary-Treasurer. Under the NOLSW Bylaws, the NEB appoints a replacement to fill the vacancy until the next NJC, which will be held in June 2013.
